Melodies for Monday

Okay, So today has been huge for EDM music across the board. Im going to
try to touch on most of the new releases. So keep up!

Pete Tong had AN21 and Max Vangeli do the essential mix last Friday and it doesn't disappoint. Both Max and AN21 are going to have huge years in 2012. Upcoming plans includes touring and releasing an album. These guys are doing big things.  FUEGO

AN21 and Max Vangeli An21 & Max Vangeli - Essential Mix - 05-11-2011

Next one up is Knife Party's newest single "Tourniquet". Knife Party has really found that medium between Dubstep and Electro. In a couple of years, I think Knife Party will be one of the premier producers in the world of EDM.

Finally Dada Life released the studio version of there remix for "Big Bad Wolf". It just as you might expect hard pounding synths. Enjoy.

Duck Sauce Big Bad Wolf (Dada Life Remix)

Monkey See Monkey Do is Tommy Trashes new single. He's been putting out a lot of incredible tracks lately. This song starts out with a very progressive feel to it before hitting this nice synth at around a minute.

Complete change of pace, Here's 2Deep with a new moombahton bootleg.
Sandro Silva Heads High (2Deep Moombahton Bootleg)

Volcano

Sorry I've been slacking lately got a lot of stuff going on right now. Lets get to it! new music from a bunch of  people.

First off if you havent seen the Big Bad Wolf's Video yet you need to. Peep it below

Anyway, now check this out. Gesffelstein got his filthy hand on this track and recently put out this imprint all over it. You can just tell its him by the way he manipulates these synths.

Duck Sauce Big Bad Wolf (Gesaffelstein Remix)

Matt Balfe is fairly new to the site but his production skills are top quality. His remix of Bounce is really incredible   You start hearing the original at around 1 minute and then at about 1 minute 28 seconds you hear this really nice a fluid drop.

Calvin Harris feat. Kelis Bounce (Matt Balfe Remix)

Brodinski's newest remix has got to be one of favorites by him so far. He takes Nero's " Got a Crush On You" and makes it into a hard banging house track. Check it out below.

Nero Crush On You (Brodinski Remix)

Misha Kitone and Danila Abramov, team up to remix Afrojack's super jam Selecta. It's a hard song to top but I think they did it right with this remix. Great breakdown at 1 minute and 30 seconds. They also add this uplifting melody to the build up, it flows really well. Drop at 2 minutes and thirty seconds= banana's.

Don't Get Left Behind

Two of our Electric Squeeze staff, Mar and JuliAn, are currently attending the biggest electronic music festival I have ever seen in the greater DC area.  The IDentity festival has caused quite a stir over the last couple of months and I am extremely disappointed that I will be missing what is sure to be a very memorable day.  The artists featured include ES favorites like Avicii, Chuckie, Kaskade, Hercules and Love Affair, and even our resident Rew!nd's first ever festival performance.  If you are going today then I am truly jealous but if not we have beats to distract you today and a review jam packed with the festival's biggest tracks very soon.  However, I highly recommend not being a fool like me and getting tickets next time an event like this comes anywhere near.

When I began picking the tracks for this post, I was torn.  I couldn't decide between whether I wanted to go in a deeper more relaxed direction featuring Joris Voorn or high energy hits that will make you want to get up and rave.  One look at the day of the week (Thursday for you lost motherfuckers), let me know that it's time to squeeze our readers some party music and get back to the techno on Monday. What better way to start than Chuckie?  The unofficial king of Dutch house music does it again, a style that has led him to worldwide fame.  His performance is the one I'm most disappointed to be missing out on and this remix of Robbie Riviera certainly isn't helping anything.

Dada Life is known for their absolutely smashing bass which at times feels like it's going to force your eyes to pop out of their sockets.  Although I have never had the opportunity to witness one of their supposedly epic DJ sets, it is becoming a necessity.  I am keeping may fingers crossed that they are included in the ULTRA lineup.  Either way, here, in signature Dada fashion, they approach a song with already smashing bass and add an entirely new element to it.

Laidback Luke & Steve Aoki Cotton Eye Turbulence (Dada Life Guerilla Fart #12)

I guess history truly does repeat itself.  Last year, after Duck Sauce previewed their smash hit 'Barbara Streisand' in various performances around the world, the masses began salivating so tremendously for the release that they made their own edits of it in order to sustain.  The signature disco sounds and original sample selection are a signature of Duck Sauce and are obviously included in this new track.  I think we should all collectively thank Bastille for making this edit to hold us over until Duck Sauce finally decides to release the real thing.

Duck Sauce - Radio (Bastille Edit)

Another performer at today's festival, Kaskade recently released a free mash-up on his SoundCloud.  Don't let the price fool you, the quality is as good as ever.  I am utterly convinced that the woman singing in a nostalgic voice, the big room synths, and the amazingly progressive nature of the Chicago native's music will never get old.

Kaskade vs. DBN & Menck Step One For Redemption (Kaskade Mash Up)

Most of the time we see Treasure Fingers churn out very danceable disco remixes of the best artists in the genre.  This time the Fool's Gold gem gets an electro makeover.

Treasure Fingers Keep Up (Street Lurkin Remix)

I was considering leaving this track off, but I have to admit I like the energy of this song.  I first heard it in Martin Solveig's essential mix and it has since been one of my guilty pleasure.

DOSVEC Think About Japan (Ida Corr // Martin Solveig // The Dragonettes)

Porter Robinson has long been one of my favorite electro house artists.  Have you ever seen us post about him?  I was shocked to see that the 19 year old had never been represented on my own music blog.  Well here's your first taste of the recent high school graduate who can best be described as a crazy person.

Back to the Classic

So I've decided to add a new section to all my posts.  Many of my favorite electronic tracks of all time have never been posted on the main body of this page because they were released well before the birth of Electric Squeeze.  We are always committed to bringing you new music but it will be nice to look back every once in a while.  Now I know this section seems inappropriately named since most of this music was release over the last 2-3 years but I feel as though you will really enjoy some of the tracks I place here.  I'm excited to show you the tracks that led me down the slippery yet wonderful slope of EDM addiction.  In the first edition of 'Back to the Classic', I have one of both me and JuliAn's favorite tracks.  Here is a rave juggernaut that will never be replaceable in my mind.

Big Bad Wolf

Sunday tunes are here and Duck Sauce is back in a big way.  Their newest single, Big Bad Wolf, does not disappoint as they continue their brand of light hearted groove overflow house music.  Unfortunately, the official release for this track is set for September and all I can offer you is a low quality file.

French House sensation Tristan Garner comes through with a big time remix.

The return of the indisputably talented disco lover, Grum, to our blog.

The Good Natured Skeleton (Grum Remix)

I was, interestingly enough, in attendance for Volta Bureau's debut performance and believe me, it did not disappoint.  Rather than listening to me rave about this new trio from ES' hometown Washington D.C., I'll allow for the Washington Post and Volta Bureau them self to do it for me.

Dim Mak's French electro beast, Mustard Pimp, drops this bomb.

How about some Italo disco to finish this post off?
